Resawing is a valuable service we offer those needing thin strips for glue-ups especially for stair parts, furniture and musical instruments. Thicker stock is used to increase yield and reduce waste factors which is particularly effective in reducing overall cost. Resawing is also used to make veneers and create book-matched pieces.
Our Baker horizontal band resaw can handle material up to 17" wide and 16" thick. It employs an exclusive wheel and guide system that prevents the saw blade from wavering during cuts, and minimizes uneven and "thin-ended" boards, thus providing the most uniform cut possible.
Our Baker resaw uses the finest quality blades available with a thin 1/16" kerf to obtain the most accurate cuts. The thin kerfed blade allows for greater yield and 60-70% less sawdust than conventional resaw blades. This provides greater options and better yield to fill your needs.
